Why does my created wordpress. com site not appear on the Internet

I have created a site through worldpress.com. The site’s address is <journeyeast.wordpress.com> I can get into this site by signing into world press and going to the dashboard, but I cannot get into it by typing in the website address in my address bar. Why?
