Why does my domain not show up as "freeheelvegan.com"?

    I bought the domain from godaddy. I want to have my blog at wordpress only have that domain without the .wordpress.com part. I am trying to purchase this option and I can’t. I already told godaddy to point to the NS1.wordpress.com and the NS2 and NS3. I spoke with them today on the phone and they are showing the domain no longer parked at godaddy. What else do I need to do? I am sorry if I don’t know the right words to use to describe my issue. I just want my blog address to be freeheelvegan.com instead of freeheelvegan.wordpress.com. Thanks.

    You can go to Store > Domains on your blog’s dashboard and follow the steps there.

    Also, you may want to review the following guide before going through the process.

    The domain hasn’t been mapped to your blog yet. Have you entered the domain on this page and pressed the “add domain to blog button”? If so, please let me know where things to wrong.

    When I enter “freeheelvegan.com” (my domain) into the box, this is the message I get…but I already went to my godaddy account and changed the nameservers and asked godaddy not to park the domain at godaddy. I did this 2 days ago so it has been plenty of hours for the change to go through. Then I went to the domain mapping guide. I’ve been going around in circles.

    “Someone (maybe you?) already registered freeheelvegan.com, but the domain is not pointing to WordPress.com.

    If you do not own this domain, you could register freeheelvegan.me, freeheelvegan.org, freeheelvegan.net, free-heel-vegan.me, free-heel-vegan.com.
    I own this domain. Help me fix it!

    Currently the nameservers for this domain appear to be:

    216.69.185.42
    208.109.255.42

    Using the DNS tools provided by your domain registrar, remove any existing nameservers and add the following:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

    Yes, per the instructions, you need to change your domain’s nameservers to:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

    Well I just noticed that there is a 2nd place in my GoDaddy account info where I can enter nameservers. I think this 2nd place is the actual place I needed to enter the data. I will give it time but I have a feeling that it will work now..(crossing fingers). I will respond again only if I continue to have trouble.
