why does my email show up on my contact form?

    Hi, I just posted a contact form on my latest blog, and it really bothers me that my email is right there in the form. I don’t want it to show up; my email should be private. Yet I noticed that it’s also in another form on a different page (one that doesn’t get visited nearly as often, thank goodness). Is there any way to fix this, or will my email always show up for the public to see on a contact form?

    Good news!

    Your e-mail address only shows up when you view the form. When your visitors view the form they see their e-mail address, or a blank form if they aren’t logged in.

    You can test this by logging out of your WordPress.com account and viewing the form the way a visitor would.
