Why does my gallery not display in the visual editor?
-
My gallery shows up fine on my page, but does not display in the visual editor, so I cannot access it for editing. I have a scrolling carousel of images on my Home page and want to swap out the images, but when I try to edit the page in visual mode, there is no way to access (or see) the gallery, except for the path link on the bottom in text which I cannot access either. I have also dealt with this problem (disappearing-reappearing galleries in the visual editor) on posts but have been able to work around it. I can see the css for the gallery in text mode, but don’t know how to decode the 3 digit image identity numbers, so I wouldn’t know how to swap them out either. We have updated our google chrome and plugins as much as we know how on this computer. My husband can see the gallery in the visual editor on his nexus. I would greatly appreciate some advice because this feature is a focal point of my site. Thank you.

Thank you very much. The specific problem that I am having is with accessing the gallery on my Home page. There is a gallery of scrolling images (a slideshow) under the Heading “Latest News and Views” that I’d like to access to swap out the images with new ones.

Thanks for that information.
I went into your dashboard and I was able to go in and edit the gallery in the visual editor by following the instructions on this page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/#editing-a-gallery-or-slideshow
Click “add to gallery” and you will be able to add more images to your slideshow! You can also delete any images you no longer want on the gallery by following those instructions.
I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any questions.
