Why does my Gallery page show up on the main menu?

    When I create a new page, that I use as a Gallery Page, which I want to link to another page within the site, the new page shows up as a tab on the main menu. In the Page Attributes box, I have selected “No Parent,” One column, no sidebar in the Template dropdown and zero in the order box. How do I prevent this from happening? (The site is under construction).
