Why does my gravatar image attach to my posts when I share them on facebook?

  when I share a post to other sites, my gravatar image is on the post instead of the blog header or relevant image

  When I share a post to facebook, I want the blog header image to show up. It doesn’t happen. Instead, no matter how I share a blog post or regular page, my gravatar image is attached to the shared post. I see other people sharing posts to FB and it is their header or an image within the post the appears on facebook. What do I need to do?
