Why does my home page featured content now do this?

  For the last few days the display of my featured content bar has shifted/split into two with the arrows now dropping to a blank area.
  Can anyone please tell me why and, more importantly, how to fix it?!

  Seems to have now re-set itself now.
  I’m happy! :)
