Why does my last post have a blue background color and new title font?
-
I created a new post today: KEEPING NEGATIVES AND COLOR TRANSPARENCIES IN A TROPICAL CLIMATE. Why is the post now on a blue background (it used to be white), and why has the title font be changed? I would like to return to the previous format (I still have some editing to do, adding some pictures).
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Edit the post and check the visibility setting please.

Did you create a sticky post?

timethief, thank you for your reply. I will check it tomorrow as I have to go out to my son´s birthday.

Hi timethief, I checked the visibility and the sticky post (I didn´t know about it!) was unchecked. I tested checking the sticky post for one of my early posts, it came on top but it remained white; yesterday´s post was second but it remained with the blue background.
Actually a light color background doesn´t really bother me (except that it breaks the unity) but I think light blue is just not appropriate for the content of this post. Can that color be changed? Anyway I will not die because of it!
I am new to WordPress and I am still confused by the abundance of options offered.
Thank you for your help.

Hi there,
If it’s not sticky post then you copied and pasted that background color along with the text into the post. You will have to edit the post and switch to the Text (HTML) editor and remove the coding for the background color.

I copied and pasted text from Notepad (I made manual additions later) and I inserted images, so that background cannot have been copied and pasted. I checked the photos I downloaded, the blue background is not there either. As for the HTML editor (I don´t know HTML but I understand some of it) I could only find my text and references to my photographs. It starts like this (the title is not :
(what does this mean?)<img class=”alignright size-full wp-image-312″ alt=”760pixels_sharpen_IMG_0743_crop_perspective” src=”http://jacquesjangoux.files.wordpress.com/2013/08/760pixels_sharpen_img_0743_crop_perspective.jpg” width=”625″ height=”417″ />
I live in Belém at the mouth of the Amazon, where both the temperature and the humidity are rather high, which is not an ideal environment for color transparencies or negatives.I cannot find any reference to a blue background in the text editor.

That’s an image URL. I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

OK. I am already subscribed. Thank you very much for your help. I will be patient. It´s only a small problem.
(I am trying to solve a Windows system problem caused by a virus from a website that my antivirus AVIRA didn´t stop; I lost 3 partitions; I replaced AVIRA by BITDEFENDER which recovered the partitions for a couple of days then lost them again, and messed up with my Windows system files, my boot time is now about 10 minutes). THAT´S A REAL PROBLEM! (but I will solve it)
Best regards, Jacques Jangoux

Hi there. The reason the blog post has a blue background is because it’s Post Format is set to “Aside.” The theme you are using styles Asides differently from other posts. If you edit the post and change it’s Post Format to “Standard,” it should appear as normal.
-
Many thanks Andrew. I worked. I was wondering what the difference was between “Aside” and “Standard”.

Asides are usually intended to be short updated, not worthy of a “full post.” There’s a support article that details what each post format is usually used for:
