why does my like/share buttons show up in edit/preview post but not on home page

  the like and share button do not show up on my blog. When I edit them they show up on the preview post but when I go back to the home page they are not there. I have tried everything – I update each time, I have gone over all five of my posts separately, was able to see the like button and gravatars who “liked” but after leaving dashboard and going back to home page all the likes are gone again! Help!

  Because you need to tell wordpress that you want that. Go back to settings > sharing and under Show Buttons On, select “Front Page, Archive Pages, and Search Results ” and then save.
