Why does my page jumps on load? It happens when I’m in wordpress.com too
-
When I load up my site apart from taking a long time to load, when it does load, the screen gets really big, then goes back to original size, then repeats. It does this typically twice on every page. I’ve also noticed it happens when I go into the backend of wordpress like this contact us page. I have a free site, with the able theme.

Hi @cann0nf0dder, I didn’t see the screen resize thing, but I do see your site takes a lot of resources to load: likely because you’ve got several full length posts displaying on the front page, each with embeds and what not.
It may also be an issue with your theme, which has been retired for quite some time now.
Here’s what I’d recommend:
1 – Switch themes to something more current that allows excerpts for the front page display. Any of these will do nicely:

Want to see if that clears this up?

Hi @supernovia,
Thank you for your reply, I will take a look at a new theme and see if that helps. Can you recommend a free theme so that when viewing a blog post, most of the page is taken up by the Blog, not centralised, so when viewing on a large monitor you don’t have a lot of white space on left and right of the content?

Hey, have a look at these themes that offer the full-width template:
