why does my paragraph spacing vanish? GRRRRRRRR

Haven’t posted in a few months; never had this problem before but today the paragraph spacing in my post disappears and that is NOT OK. As i’ve always done, I create the entry as a word doc, then copy and paste into the wordpress editor (used the visual editor today; new since my last entry). Two things:
1. how do I fix this, so the format i want is what I get?
2. why would you think this change is acceptable to writers? We are very careful and intentional about things like line and graph spacing and need to know our work will display the way it was meant to look.

I’m also having problems with spacing in my posts. I just can’t get it to look right. I’ve tried shift+enter and still can’t get what I want. Any suggestions would be appreciated! fayettelawyer.wordpress.com.

Arrrgh! My husband used to be a web developer so he went in and changed the HTML code for me, but I’m having the same problem. I thought it was just when I was using my iPhone to blog, but I logged in to my desktop today and I still couldn’t fix it. VERRRRYYY FRUSTRATING, my last few posts look rubbish because of this. NOT HAPPY.
