Why does my post show 59 Facebook shares while my stats show only 31 views?

  The Facebook shares indicator keeps steadily climbing while the stats number stays low. Are all my views not being counted?

  NONE of your views via RSS feed, email subscriptions, tag pages, or the Reader are counted. It sounds like you’ve enabled sharing buttons on your RSS feed, and the article is being shared by those readers.

  Also note the stat counter for shares is wonky because of the http/https conversion process. It should not be relied upon to give the actual total, although it never gives more than the actual total.

  Thanks! :) I’ve often wondered why, when I have over 100 subscribers, a new post sometimes gets only 30 views. I’d think, “Is the title THAT bad?”

  BTW, what’s RSS feed?

  It’s the underpinnings for all of those options, including Publicize: The Reader, Tag Pages, Email Subscriptions.
