why does my post show up in the dashboard as text rather than visual?

    When I post to the wordpress template, or update/edit my post in/from the dashboard; the post comes up in text, rather than visual, and I have to change it every time. It started out of the blue, and while it may seem like a small thing, now that I have the jumping cursor “dis-ease,” any little thing can make me frustrated.
    You folks have been good in terms of response time and answers, so I hope you can be of help again.
