Why does my site default back to the orginal theme?

Hi guys, help please!
My site does not allow me to save any changes. It used to work fine but overnight it seems to keep defaulting back to the original theme which is “twenty fourteen”. My menus keep moving to all the wrong places and the theme colours also go back to the original theme. When I click save it shows my changes in the customizer but not live.
Please can you offer any assistance?

There was an internal glitch in the WordPress.com platform, which is now fixed and reverted.
Your blog should be back to normal now, if it isn’t please take a look at this thread and post.
