Hi there – I’m not sure what you’re describing. Could you please make a screenshot of this and upload it to your Media Library so that I can take a look? Here are instructions for how to make a screenshot: http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/
-
I’ve uploaded it now. Here’s the filename: Screen shot 2013-09-11 at 10.10.14 PM
Thank you so much!

Wow, that’s really bizarre! Is this the screen you see that at?
https://sapphostorque.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=statsCan you please try clearing your browser cache? If it still looks like that, can you please open the same screen in an alternate browser, such as Firefox or Safari and see if it’s the same there?
I can’t see the details of what exactly that is that’s showing up under the stat bar – is it stuff you recently had open on your screen?
-
Hi there. Yeah, it’s weird, I agree.
I emptied my cache, but it didn’t go away. The ghost-images vary and can be difficult to identify, but I think they might be from other images on my screen, yes.
I opened the page in Safari, and everything was back to normal (bars and no ghosts). Unfortunately, I don’t like using Safari or Firefox all that much. And I don’t have this problem in Chrome on my work computer, and I didn’t use to have it on my home machine, either.
Thanks for your help.

Hi there – In that case, it’s something to do with the particular Chrome browser that you’re using on your home computer. Can you confirm that you tried disabling all of your add-ons and extensions in that browser (I think you said in the other thread that you did)? Are you running the most recent version of Chrome? If so, and you’re still having the problem, you might try uninstalling and then reinstalling the browser on your home machine:

Hi there. I have no extensions, according to my settings. Is this the same as add-ons? I’m not really familiar with those terms.
I am running the most recent version of Chrome; I upgraded it the other night in an effort to solve these issues. If I uninstall Chrome, will I lose all my bookmarks?
Thank you.
-
Hi there – Yes, add-ons is another term for the same thing. Whatever is listed in Chrome->Preferences->Extensions.
If you go to Bookmarks->Bookmark Manager in Chrome, and then click the Options dropdown and click ‘export bookmarks to HTML file’ and save that file on your desktop, you can then import that file in the same way when you reinstall Chrome and that should keep your bookmarks.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome. The ghost image appear to have disappeared, but the bar graph still isn’t showing up.
Thank you.
-
Hi there – Can you please confirm whether you can see the bar graph in either of these two places in Chrome:
https://sapphostorque.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=stats
and
http://wordpress.com/my-stats/
Does one work and not the other, or does the bar graph not load in either place?
Also, can you please make sure you have Javascript enabled in Chrome:
http://www.enable-javascript.com/ -
Hi there. I do have Javascript enabled already.
On both links, when I clicked on them, I saw the same as usual: the space for a bar graph with no bar content, unless I run my cursor over a particular day, and then the gold bar for that day pops up only as long as my cursor is there.
Unfortunately, as soon as I put my cursor over the bar graph space, the ghost images of previous websites I’ve looked at flashed across the space. They disappeared, at least, when I moved the cursor back off, rather than remaining a static part of the screen.
Thank you.

Hi there – Could you please go to the Site Stats page, and then load it, and in Chrome:
1. Select View > Developer > JavaScript Console.
2. If there are errors/warnings the console will displays a red icon along with the message text, which is colored red. Please copy paste the content of that and post it in this thread. -
I did this, but the white box displayed nothing but a tiny blue >. I even clicked on “errors” at the bottom and all the other tabs, and nothing was ever displayed. The ghost images have consistently returned.
Sorry this is such a tough problem! I wish I could be more useful here.

Hi there – Hmm. I’m asking around to see if anyone else has ideas on this. I’ll be back in touch as soon as I have some more information. ;)
