Why does my text go to full width when I have Full Width Template selected?

  I am using the Organic – Purpose theme which includes a full width template. I have used this template on every page, however my text still sits in a ‘column’ in the middle of the page.
  I have checked their site for further instructions in case I was ‘missing’ something, but according to their documentation, you just select this template and voila.
  Can anyone suggest how I can get the text to take up the width of the screen (or at least more than 30% of the width?)
