why does my theme automatically add widgets plus how do i white out text with b

    if i leave no widgets in my “secondary sidebar” setting, the theme i am using Oxygen seems to automatically add a search and a blogroll and a meta widgets in the blank space.
    i would rather have blank space in this column as i dont like any of the other widgets to appear there…..

    the other question i had was on the Oxygen theme page the categories in top left of the page are reversed out (ie white on black) which is a nice effect…so how do i do this?
