Why does my website slow down/lockup when left open?
-
When a browser window is left open to my webpage, it will eventually run extremely slow or even lockup. It makes it hard to use my webpage and discourages other from using it. I would appreciate help in resolving this.

Why would anyone leave a browser window open to your site for a lengthy period of time? it makes no sense to do that.

Your site loads quickly for me. I’m using Firefox 20. here’s the report on the page loading time http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/zhFtS84U9/http://boulderrad.wordpress.com/

I appreciate the feedback. It loads quickly initially, but if left open over time it gets super slow/frozen. I designed this as a resource for people to leave open in the background, as it contains resources that are used on a daily basis (which is why it is open for a long time).

I took a look and everything is working properly.
but if left open over time it gets super slow/frozen
When does things get slow exactly? when you’re scrolling through the front page? or are you trying to visit one of the other pages? Please be as specific as possible.
Thank you!

Do other programs also run slow on your PC – do others have the same problem?
Sometimes REalPlayer will launch several copies of itself – seems to be browser related but 90% of my PC / CPU resources get sucked up and sites load very badly
