Why does my wordpress name take me to HugeDomain.com?
-
My wordpress automotically goes to HugeDomain. This problem happened before. How do we fix this permanently? I tried at one time to buy the domain greystoneacademy.com, but someone else owns it. I never bought greystoneacademy.com.
Have I paid to use a domain name with WordPress? That is not clear to me.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Christine! You may not own greystoneacademy.com, but you’ve purchased domain mapping for it here at WordPress.com. So, your blog is “looking” for the domain that you don’t own. Therefore, you’re getting the error message.
I took the liberty is disconnecting the mapping so visitors to greystoneacademy.wordpress.com will be able to view your site.
If you purchase a domain name, I can help set up the domain mapping again.
I hope this helps! Best wishes to you.

Thanks. I think someone already disconnected the mapping once. Is that something that can get turned back on accidentally?
But thanks, and I’ll check out a different domain name.

Hey Christine,
That isn’t something that can reconnect automatically. But accidentally? Possibly. I noticed you you purchased the Premium upgrade on March 2, 2014…perhaps something funky happened during that process. But, no matter! I will disconnect it for you immediately. It can take up to 72-hours for changes to your mapping to take effect. So, don’t panic if your site doesn’t work as you want asap.As you have the Premium upgrade, you do get a custom domain name included in that package, so whenever you’re ready, go ahead and set that up. Just let me know if you need assistance along the way. Best of luck!
