Why does Publicize does not work to post on LinkedIn?

Publicize does not work. I have linked my blog to my LinkedIn account, seen that it is sucessfully linked (in the status page), written blogs and selected (with checkbox) for Publicize to post to my LinkedIn account as well but nothing happens. The blogs are posted in my WordPress account, but no entry at all in LinkedIn. I have waited since last night, and nothing has shown up.

Could you try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies?

I have done both things you requested (cleared cookies/cache) and then unlinked/relinked to LinkedIn. It still does not work! I have now tried this from two different computers at two different locations, so it is nothing to do with local browsers or cache…

Would you mind sending us a link to your LinkedIn profile?
Are you seeing any error messages from LinkedIn or are you posts simply not appearing on your profile?

I am not seeing any errors, just nothing shows up. My way of testing is to make a small edit in the blog (added category, etc.), make sure Publicize has the LinkedIn checkbox selected, then force update the post. The changes are visible on WordPress, but nothing ever shows up on my LinkedIn page.

I have not tried since I don’t want to publish to anything other than LinkedIn. I don’t want to test unless you can assure me that I can shut this off again – totally. I really don’t want this blog to associate with my Twitter or Facebook accounts – I maintain different identities with different purposes on each social app.
Can’t we just get this working??

Can you check your privacy settings on LinkedIn to make sure you’re not blocking WordPress from publicizing to your profile?
I would also suggest going to your LinkedIn Settings -> Applications -> View Your Applications and removing WordPress. Then, try connecting to LinkedIn once more via your Settings -> Sharing page.
When viewing your own profile page, are you able to see WordPress in your activity log?

Ok, thanks, that fixed it. I just made a short test post in WordPress and it showed up in LinkedIn. I guess the first link of applications failed even though it reported on both sides as being there…
