Why does Sharing cause Share buttons to render in my Suffusion Excerpts?

  My site (gamergeoff.com) uses Suffusion 4.3.3 and has a magazine layout. I am trying to use Jetpack Sharing, but when I enable it I get share buttons in wrong places.

  I want to set the tool to Post and have it display Share buttons on the Post page only. Instead I am also getting share buttons in each of the Excerpts on my magazine-format landing page.

  How do I suppress that?

  From Settings -> Sharing in your blog’s Dashboard, uncheck “Front Page, Archive Pages, and Search Results” and select only “Posts,” “Pages,” and “Media” if desired.

  I have removed sharing from everything except “Posts”. And yet, I get a share button on every excerpt on the landing page.

  I’ve left the settings that way so you can see what I am talking about.

  That is very odd. If the page was correctly identifying itself as an index page, we wouldn’t be showing sharing buttons on it.

  Have you contacted the theme’s developer about this?
