why does site does not exist come up

Hello, I asked someone to check out my site by going to https://joyoflifehilda.wordpress.com and they just informed me that “site does not exist” comes up, why is this happening? I kept adding blog pages and at no point did wordpress inform that the site did not exist. I did change my user name which also changed my wordpress url.
This is so aggravating, I somehow feel this is a ploy to get us free users to upgrade. May have to switch to Blogger.

Hi Toni,
No, I gave out the url with the https:// prefix.
However, it should not make a difference because when I tested it without the https:// the browser autmatically inserts that.
When you click on the url, do you get “site does not exist” or do you actually see my blog?

Yes that’s true. It will automatically revert http to https.
But I was asking you if you made a mistake and gave your friend https://joyoflifehilda.wordpress.com instead of https://joylovelifehilda.wordpress.com/

Oh, that’s a good question and thanks.
Oops, you are right, I received another email that my site is not working and when I checked my text I have them the wrong spelling, will try again and then let you know if this has been resolved or not. Will probably know in about a day since it will take my family and friends that long to respond.
