why does the author show above each post

I have started with one blog, then, with the same user name I started a second blog which I updated lately to a paid domain name.
My first blog, does not show a link to the author (myself) when I post, however on the purchased one I have a link on top of each post that links to my profile.
How can I avoid that author link?

Regardless of the theme, and provided the theme is designed to display an author byline, bylines will only display now if there are at least two official authors who both have at least one published post in the blog.
