Why does the background color not show ?

  I use the Ko theme and have had no problems so far, but since yesterday the chosen background color does not show any more. Why’s that ?

  That’s because WP added “infinite scrolling” to Koi, and once again they did it sloppily. The option to disable the feature is hidden except if you have footer widgets. So, first go to Appearance > Widgets and drag a Text widget to one of the footer areas, then go to Settings > Reading, uncheck the option “Scroll Infinitely”, click Save Changes.
