Why does the background of my WP site get cut off with recent versions of FF?
-
The background of this site gets cut off about 80% of the way down the front page with recent versions of Firefox. Specifically, this occurs with FF 7.0.1, and FF 8.0.1. I doesn’t occur with the latest Safari browser.
I recently switched to the 7 and 8 series of FF because in the 3 series, which I preferred, there lately arose a problem with regard to disabling auto-complete and/or auto-suggestion in the search bars. The browser or Google disregarded the settings and it was impossible to stop auto-complete when typing into the search bar. I even edited the about:config without success.
So, for the last week or so I’ve been going back and forth between versions 7 and 8 (Firefox). They both crash frequently and seem slower than the latest 3.6 versions I’d been using previously, but I’ve solved the auto-complete issue. Yet, now I’m getting my background cut off. It only happens on the front page. Oddly, another WP blogger complained in a forum thread that his front page was fine, but all of the other pages had the background cut short.

Firefox 7 won’t be receiving the security fixes that Firefox 8 will, so I recommend sticking with Firefox 8.
As for your background, I don’t see any issues in Firefox 8.0.1.
Are you running add-ons? If so, please try disabling those.
