Why does the editing function make changes to the posts that I don't ask it to?

The editing function seems to be bogus. It makes changes to the original version by the mere act of entering it into the editing field; these are visible changes, that were not requested. Once changes are made to the material in the editing field, it is unknown whether those changes will translate to the original version when viewed; most times it makes the desired changes, but with other changes added that weren’t requested, or put into the editing field. It just does it that way, and once it has been edited just one time, it is impossible to get it back to the correct format for viewing onscreen. Any further changes are even more likely to distort the formatting. It is extremely frustrating to say the least; I have to make sure that what I put into the publication mode is perfect BEFORE it goes in. If any mistakes were missed, editing becomes an hour-long battle to regain the desired degree of accuracy I insist on for my blog, both textually and visually. I hope you get this fixed some time in the near future……
