Why does the FB share button now disappear after 2 days?

    The FB share button, no other buttons just FB, disappear on the front page after two days. They used to remain there. After two days now you can only find the FB share button if you click on the heading of the article & go to the article page. Why just the FB button & not all of the other 5 or 6 that are there?

    Before now the fb button would disappear periodically on random articles. I then had to remove them & reinstate to get them back.

    Hi there!

    I can see the Facebook sharing button on your homepage without any issues. What browser do you use?
    Do you have any extensions active on your browser? If so, try disabling them on your site and see if that helps.

    Hi fresatomica, thanks for replying, and yes the FB button is there on the front page (news page) however I note just now, if I scroll to the button saying ‘older posts’ from there onwards there are no FB share buttons, only if you click on the article. It didn’t used to be this way. The button is enabled for all posts and pages also. Have checked extensions (only one now disabled). I use FF.

    First, please make sure that your browser is up to date: https://browsehappy.com/

    If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.

    If it is, please do these two things:

    1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.

    2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

    Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.
