Why does the Follow button on my new blog link to my old blog?
-
I have multiple blogs under one user name. Several people have clicked the Follow button on Blog4, but the Dashboard for Blog4 does not show them following me – they show up instead as following Blog1.
Blog url: http://veejayr.wordpress.com/ -

I’m sorry – I should have done that to start with.
I have distributed this link to Blog4 (iVicki): http://ivicki.wordpress.com/
At least 8 people have clicked Follow, but my Dashboard shows they are following Blog1 (Vicki’s View – http://veejayr.wordpress.com/)
I have noticed that if I comment on blogs while logged into WordPress, those comments are also linked back to Blog1.
Does that help? It’s a confusing issue to explain.

When I just tried following ivicki.wordpress.com, my name showed up in your list of WordPress.com subscribers on the correct site. Would it be possible for you to provide us with a handful of specific usernames that clicked on the “Follow” button for ivicki.wordpress.com but showed up in veejayr.wordpress.com?
You can also send that information privately, if you’d prefer.

I don’t see you as a follower, but perhaps you unfollowed:
Here are a couple that show up on the wrong blog
http://katskreative.wordpress.com
http://shell1uk.wordpress.com
http://danudin.wordpress.com/I have just changed my User Personal settings to make iVicki my primary blog and where it asks for a website to link comments to, I’v added the iVicki url.
Perhaps these changes will help?

Have you left comments or liked any content on these user’s blogs? If so, they may have clicked “Follow” from their notification tab.
In that case, they would have automatically followed your primary blog at the time. I’d suggest making that change in your Users -> Personal Settings page to see if that helps resolve the problem.
If not, and you’re still seeing people signed up for the wrong blog, just let us know. Thanks!

I’m sure that’s what happened. There are several others in my Photo Challenge group having the same problem, so I’ll pass along this information.
Thank you so much for your prompt responses – very much appreciated.
