Why does the My Sites page default to the Insights page, not Stats??

  I find the tweaks WP.com is doing with regard to the general admin pages pretty annoying, and this is yet another misstep. The new/er version of the Stats page is not as good as the old one, and it is surprising that there is still a poll on that question, now almost a year after the forced transition.

  Can I remove the Insights section of the Stats reports for those sites that are not “blogs”, or at least choose the default page?

  Yes. In addition, the poll doesn’t include many of the reasons I hate the new stats page.

  Looking for your Other Recent Stats? We’ve moved them to the Insights page.

  Bring back the old stats page and stop the efforts to make the WP.com site so cutesy and animated.

  I RELY on the old stats page and am very lucky that I bookmarked it. If you try and ‘fix’ the URL I will be VERY unhappy, WordPress. I am sick of this ridiculous ‘site simplifications’ phase you’re going through just to appeal to phones and tablets, when the huge majority of your users still use computers and laptops… :(

  Please could you bring back the option to go back to the old stats page??
