Why does the print button not work for a static page

  I was able to click the Print button and print as seen here:

  

  Are you still having this issue? If you are, is it just on static pages? Just on WordPress.com? or do you have this issue when you are trying to print anything from your browser?

  Hi Grace. I am just having this issue on static pages on WordPress.com specifically on http://www.JupiterFarmsResidents.com. Using IE 11 and windows 7 trying to print to an HP printer model 6940. Tried to print from a desktop and a laptop with the same result.

  Hi there,

  I just tried printing the pages http://jupiterfarmsresidents.com/ and http://jupiterfarmsresidents.com/about/ using Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7, and it worked for me. Can you describe in more detail what happens when you try to print a page from the site?

  Hi rachelmcr,
  when I click on the “print” box nothing happens. I suspect the problem may be that when I upgraded to windows 7 (new computer) and kept my old HP deskjet printer model 6940 the printer may not have installed properly. According to the HP website I need to retry installing the printer. Ultimate soluton would be to purchase a new printer that is windows 7 compliant. Would really not like to do that at this time.

  Hi there,

  From the sounds of it, this is very likely related to your printer setup in Windows 7. I’d recommend following the instructions from HP to set up your printer again — they should be able to help you get that working again. Best of luck! :)
