Why does the Read More link in the notification email to my followers not work?

  When I submitted my last blog post some of my followers reported that the Read More link in the notification email didn’t work anymore. It refers them to a Worpress.com start page with the title “Create your new website for free”. Previously, the Read More link in the notification email opened the new blog post. Has this function changed? Can I manually change the link included in the email notification?

  The following link was included in the notification email for my last blog post: https://wordpress.com/?p=1489. It looks like this link opens the WordPress.com start page for users that are not registered on WordPress.com.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  I’m very sorry about that! Some notification emails went out last Friday with the incorrect link in them, but our team quickly fixed the issue with those. Any new notifications that go out will have the correct link in them.

  Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)

  I sent another notification email and the link works fine now
