Why does the reader show just regional content?

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi there,
my reader just shows me german content. Yes my language setting is german. But a week ago, or so, I had content from all over the world. Why do you decide for me which content I can see. I realy liked the input from other cultures, now you limit me to german posts! whats the point. To be honest, that is terribly anyoing. It is hard no to swear at this point. Please undo this setting, or let the user choose which content, in which language he/she wants to see.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Tag pages show content from blogs where the blog language is set to the same as your interface language. The goal is to localize your Reader experience. However, blogs you follow will still be displayed in the main reader regardless of language.

    Hi,
thanks for your answers. For me personal this just makes no sense. Imagine you are living in denmark. Your tags probably never will be filled with content, just because you are using danish interface. I would prefer a solution like this: every user can choose which content, in which language is displayed in the reader. That would be great.
People who are able to speak some other languages are restricted to the one they use in the interface. Also the content is less diversified, using just one language. For me it´s like a kind of paternalism from WordPress.

Thanks for your feedback. It’s definitely not a perfect system, and one we’re constantly revamping.
