Why does the Twitter timeline shortcode no longer show the timeline on a post?
-
Hi,
WordPress no longer seems to show Twitter timelines. This seems to be a problem with sidebar widgets, and page and post shortcodes, both described in https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/twitter-timeline-widget/.
My problem is particularly on this page, https://tofieldwritegroup.wordpress.com/twitter/, and the sidebar of this blog, https://stefras.wordpress.com/, both of which displayed the timelines a few months ago.
Anyone have a solution to this problem?
Thank you in advance for your responses.
Sincerely,
ShawnThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. I can see both Twitter timelines just fine on both your sites, so the problem is more likely with your browser. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, and also check whether you have the same issue with a different browser: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
It could also be a browser add-on. I had the same issue when I upgraded to Avast Internet Security and it installed the Avast browser add-on. The add-on was blocking social media accounts, preventing the widget from displaying. It might be something similar in your case. If you have avast, click on the avast icon in your browser toolbar and make sure it allows social networks. If not, try disabling all add-ons and see if the widget starts working. If it does, enable your add-ons one by one to determine which one is preventing the widget from displaying.

Thanks, kokhieh.
Avast was indeed the problem. My timelines are visible again.
Cheers,
