why does ‘views today’ day end at like 8pm?

  I was curious why the ‘day’ doesn’t end at midnight in the ‘views today’ section? Mine ends (I think) at like 8pm? Just curious because I want to get a better idea of which actual day brought which traffic. Otherwise a ‘single’ day’s stats carry over 2 days and it gets confusing.

  It’s the same 24 hours every day, so you can compare one day with another. They are all the same length.

  WordPress operates on UTC time. People around the world use wordpress, so we all have to be on the same clock.

  If you lived in London, the clock would reset every day at midnight.
