Why does WordPress make up all the time?

    I’m sick and tired of WordPress pretending it knows better than me. When I highlight something and paste a link, I expect the link to pate over the whole thing, not a random part of the highlighted portion.

    Similar for italics. I make sure what I want italicized is highlight, but it italicizes something different.

    Deletion, the same, I’ll try to delete a typo, and it decides to delete a massive amount of text.

    I cannot believe anyone finds this kind of nonsense helpful. It’s like having a backseat driver that has no clue of the rules of the road.

    1. HP, Windows 10.
    2. Google Chrome Version 95.0.4638.54 (Official Build) (64-bit)
    3. I didn’t make any recordings. I had to save my drafts and refresh the screen to get past its insistence on deleting entire blocks regardless f where I had the cursor.
