why does wordpress suck?

I have a website that is down because the domain has expired – even though I renewed it via live chat with a member of staff….but guess what? They expired it anyway. So Ive had a none existant website for 2 months – and even when I try to sort it out I cant find live chat to disucss it with anyone – becuase its only avialble to business users…and so I have to post on forums and wait for people to respond…and Im wasting a whole afternoon trying to sort this out….oh yeah and I PAY for t his service. I am so angry with WordPress

Firstly thank you for replying. Secondly who are you? Do you work for Worpress ?
Here is my issue.
I Began with w.p then realised it was a ballache to work with. So transfered the domain (www.clarebonnet.com) to sq.space. Went through the whole process of linking my domain from w.p to sq.sp – fine, took a few hours for someone like me – but did it.Then my domain was due to expire with w.p – they sent an email to tell me. I logged on – somehow got onto live chat and the person took me through renewing it. I went through those steps and was confident that all would be fine. Keeping the domain with w.p and website with sq.sp.
It turns out my site must have been down for 2 months (since march) as I went to log on today and nothing. So word.p despite me following the steps (and it all being checked and verified that it was working by the team member) have pulled my domain. Now I have to go through the entire process again. I just literally do not have time to being doing all this. This entire set up is marketed on ‘user friendly’ basis – and it just isn’t

right – I dont want to ‘add a tag’ or spend any more time on this computer than is necessary.
I want a company who I have paid for a service to honour the contract and provide me with a service.
Is there someone I can email?

FYI – in between all these forum posts – I am having a live chat with sq.space. in which the team member is offering real support and suggestions. One of which is that I transfer the domain to GO-Daddy.
Whether I can do it or not remains to be seen but its an attractive option right now. -

Hey there Clare,
I’ve been looking under your account for a while now to try and see why your domain did not renew. It’s complicated, but essentially, we believe that your domain was set to auto renew, but we removed the mapping subscription from your account which prevented the transaction from going through. So, it was an error on our part and we apologize for the inconvenience.
I am already in talks with our registrar to get the domain back up. I’m about to e-mail you now regarding details on how we can further rectify the issue.
Again, we apologize for this issue and hopefully we’ll have your domain back up and running ASAP.
