Why doesn´t I have a update option under my options writer settings ?

  Under options/writing shall there not be an ”update service” option ??? My blog desn´t have it.

  The Update Services option is a feature of self-hosted blogs from http://wordpress.org/

  We automatically send a ping out to http://pingomatic.com/ which in turn pings a variety of services.
