Why doesn't "like" button show up on blog even with box checked on dashboard?

  I have a check mark next to “show like button” on the edit/dashboard of my blog and it shows the “button” there, but does not show up (like button) when you go to my blog.

  Right now, the “Like” button appears on individual post pages. If you want it to show up on your front page as well, you’ll need to select “Front Page, Archive Pages, and Search Results” via your Settings -> Sharing page.
