Why Doesn't Location Work Any More on My Postings?
-
I try to set a location, preferably Los Angeles, CA or West Los Angeles, CA — and then WordPress changes it to Historic Core Los Angeles or Little Osaka respectively, whereupon it says it couldn’t locate it.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
I’m sorry you’re having trouble with the location feature. Are you having this issue in the new home page editor? Or the dashboard editor?
Can you tell me what browser and version you’re using?
And can you make sure that third party cookies are enabled:
Lastly, can you make sure that your version of Java is up to date?

Looking forward to your response!

I’m having the problem with the new home page editor (if that’s the “beep beep boop” one in blue and white).
I’m using the current version of Firefox (31.0). I’m running Windows 7 64 bit professional.
I have enabled third party cookies per the browser’s instructions.
Do I run 32-bit Java or 64-bit Java?

Thanks so much for those details! That’s very helpful. I’ve passed this on to the developers.
But it doesn’t really matter which version for our purposes. I just wanted to make sure you have it in case that’s helpful for the developers. :)

Hey there!
I just wanted to follow up with you quickly. Are you still having trouble with the location function in the new editor? Can you clear your cache and cookies and try again?

Where does the location print? It seemed to accept it, but it doesn’t show right under the rating where it used to be.

Hi there,
Your location should appear on single post pages like the one here:
On that post, I’m seeing Los Angeles, CA, USA under your ratings. Can you let me know if you’re seeing that on your side as well?
