Why doesn't my custom icon appear to save in the general settings?

  I would like for my custom icon, rather than the “W” icon to appear when I share my posts, but it doesn’t appear.

  Can you walk me through what happens when you try to upload your Blavatar in your Settings -> General page? What size and file type is the image?
