Why doesn't my FB widget appear correctly?

  I did everything described on the thread between BillyMoses and TimeThief in July 13 and got temporary fix (two hours). Now back to no FB panel.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Is this the correct FB page link? I can’t seem to reach it.

  Note that the page needs to be public and shouldn’t have any age or geographic resitrictions if you want it to be visible to everyone, like in this screenshot below:

  Great thanks. Where do I find that page? Is that a wordpress page or a FB page?

  If I am logged on to my personal FB profile which is the admin for my FB page, then the FB widget linking to my FB PAGE will display correctly on my blog. I don’t know how to attach a screen shot.

  Hi there,

  The permissions page linked above is on Facebook. You’ll find it in the settings for your Facebook page.

  Once you change those settings, your Facebook page will be visible to everyone and the like box should appear to everyone on your site. Please let us know if you have any questions about that!

  I apologize for being dense about this, however, permissions is not part of my FB page because I am not an advertiser. Does it help to know that when I am not logged into my FB, the widget does not display properly; but, when I am, it does?

  Sorry for any confusion — you don’t need to be an advertiser to change these settings. It looks like Facebook has changed the wording and layout for page owners to manage the settings. Here’s what you’ll need to do:

  1. Go to your Facebook page. At the top of the page, click the “Edit Page” drop-down menu and select “Edit Settings.”
  2. On the settings page, make sure the Page Visibility says “Page published.”
  3. Next to Country Restrictions and Age Restrictions, make sure it says “Page is visible to everyone” or “Page is shown to everyone.”

  Those settings should make your Facebook page visible to everyone, even if they aren’t logged in to Facebook. That, in turn, will make your Facebook Like Box visible to everyone on your site.
