Why doesn't my most recent blog posting appear in the top, featured location?

  I published a new post and it appeared in the top, correct location on my front page. Then, after I edited it, an older post replaced it in the featured image/title space. How do I ensure my most recent post is the one on top??

  Did you check the ‘post time’ to be sure you didn’t change the date somehow?
