why doesn't my post actually post to facebook when I hit publish

  I have my posts set to publish immediately but they keep defaulting to ‘scheduled to post’ several hours later. I want them to post on facebook as soon as I’m done writing.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Is it just Facebook that is delayed or are your posts not displaying on your blog either?

  Could there be something up with your timezone settings? Check if your WordPress settings are correct – WP-Admin Dashboard > Settings > General

  I think that may have fixed it. My dashboard is now showing OTC time (???) and my local time.

  One last question if I may…
  When my post does go to facebook there is no picture in the box, just my site name and part of my post. How can I fix that?

  Thanks for any help! I’m new at the blogging thing.

  Hope that’s got it sorted :)

  If you set a featured image for your post Facebook should pick it up. Facebook just looks for a picture in the page and should get a featured image if there is one or it will use any other image it finds on the page. If there isn’t one available the post will not have an image.
