Why doesn't my post show on linked site?

I wrote a book review and would like it to be linked to google book reviews for a specific author but when I open the linked page my post does not show. Why? Am I doing something wrong?

Where exactly are you expecting a link to your post to appear? Can you give a link to the page where you’re expecting to see the backlink?
Unless that site/page is also on WordPress.com, there is nothing we can do to help. Our system generates a pingback/trackback when you link to another site, but that doesn’t mean the other site will display the link when they receive the ping. And even on WordPress.com sites, pingbacks always go into moderation, and it’s up to the site owner to decide if they are going to display the link or not.

So you want your post to show up in Google search results? We have no control over that.
Your site at http://sumisinghwrites.wordpress.com/ is set to public, and can be indexed by search engines, but it’s up to each individual search engine where they will show your post in search results. There is no way to guarantee a post will always appear on the first page of results if you search for it.
Best you can do is follow some best practices to make your content more discoverable. First among those, don’t just title your post “Book review”. The title should describe the content of your post, and in this case should at least refer to the title of the book you’re reviewing.
I see you do have the title in the first line of the post, but there you’re linking to a Google search on the book’s title. That also has no SEO value whatsoever. If you want to link the book title to something, link it to the author’s website, or the GoodReads or Amazon page for the book. That way search engines like Google can see you’re linking to relevant content. But linking to a Google search page does nothing to make your post appear in that search.
