Why doesn't my post show on my blog home page?
-
Why doesn’t one of my posts show on my blog page? When I look at the posts I’ve written, it’s there, but when I look at the page everyone can see, my second post ever, entitled “The Suicide Note” is missing. I wasn’t aware that they can hide posts based on content? It’s creative writing, not against anyone nor is it an actual suicide note. I don’t understand how they can limit what is posted on my blog page.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What is the post visibility setting?
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/
Is it a draft post?
Is it a private post?
Nether if those will be displayed on the front page. -
I’m sorry to say that the likelihood you can retrieve the posts is zero if you created it here http://wordpress.com/#!/post/
If and only if a missing post was created on the dashboard of your own blog at Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New then you can recover a lost post or page from revisions if needs be. See here > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/03/21/wordpress-recovering-a-lost-blog-post-or-page/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-revisions/But if it was created here http://wordpress.com/#!/post/ there is no means of recovery as the auto-save is not functioning there.
Always create your posts on the dashboard of your own blog at
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New
The auto-save works there and the post will be Standard post format unless you change it.Do not create posts here > http://wordpress.com/#!/post/ where the auto-save is not working and where you are creating an Aside post format.
Use an offline blog editor so you have backups on your own computer http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/

“They” are not doing it. What is the URL of the post, and what is its publication status when you look at it on the dashboard? Published, Draft, what?
-
sometimes you have to make the post a sticky post. It happened to me before. Let me know if it helps

It’s published, not public access, and I can see it in the “Posts” page, but it’s not on my home page. I’m just confused because why can I see that it’s still up on the site, but it’s not visible to everyone on my home page? :(

@infamouszrene25
That most assuredly will not help in this situation or in situations like this. Read here so you comprehend what a sticky post it please > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-posts Also be aware that the regular Volunteers like raincoaster and I have been answering questions on these peer support forums for years longer than WordPress.com Support Staff have been on Staff. -

I checked it right up until I started this post and it wasn’t visible, and now I just checked it again and it’s visible again. I’m not sure what’s going on but I hope it got fixed!
thanks everyone
