Why doesn't Panel theme recognise comic posts as blog posts?

Panel theme doesn’t recognise comic posts as blog posts. I want to change my theme from Panel theme to Twenty Twelve, but when I preview it, the only posts that appear are three blog posts. I’ve actually posted over 100 individual comics but these don’t come up. Can someone please help me with this? I also noticed that if you follow my blog, you don’t received notifications of comic posts, only blog posts. There is something missing with recognising comics posts as blog posts.

I suspect this is maybe a coding issue with the theme so I’d appreciate it if a moderator/staff member or the person who created the Panel theme could respond. If I have to re-post all my comics posts then I will do so, but if it can be resolved with a coding amendment, that would obviously be preferable and very much appreciated as this is clearly something that’s been overlooked – unless I’m missing something.

Hi @verandalife, actually Panel uses a special type of posts for comics. They aren’t regular blog posts, so they won’t show where regular blog posts would.

Yes, the comics posts are different. I want to change my theme from Panel to something else. When I previewed Twenty Twelve as a possible theme, the only posts that showed in the preview were the couple of regular blog posts I’ve done. All the others have been loaded as comics and none of them appeared.So I’m wondering what will happen if I change to another theme? Will I have to repost all 100+ comics as regular blog posts in order for them to appear on my blog? Where are they located? Or is there something else going on?
Help would be gratefully received as I am thinking I’ll have to start again and re-post all the comics as blog posts.

I went back to my blog just now and searched around on the page where the comics posts are all listed. There’s an option on the drop down menu at the very bottom that says ‘Convert to Post’. This looks promising. I’ll try it out with a comic and see what happens when I preview another theme. Could be lucky.

I tried the bulk change which said Convert to Post and it worked – thank goodness. Now all I have to do is remove the featured image selection so the comics don’t appear twice everywhere.
