Why doesn't the "insert image" icon show up when I add a new post?

Hi, I wrote a new blog post and would like to insert an image. There used to be an “add image” icon next to the “upload media” one, as far as I remember. But not it seems missing. Is this a theme issue? Maybe the theme I’m using doesn’t support images in posts? Thanks for your help in advance!

Both icons have been combined – you can now upload images through the Add Media button:
