why doesn't the posts I trashed help my capacity?
-
You told me I had used up my capacity so I trashed
about 1/3 of my posts and nothing changed. Fix it. -
Hi there,
When an item is added to the trash it is not the same as deleting a post as the post is technically still in your blog database and can be recovered. While emptying posts in your trash may help recover some space on your blog, as posts contain text the space that they use is minimal. The majority of the space will be used by media files uploaded to your blog.
All WordPress.com blogs come with 3000 megabytes (~3 GBs) of space for storing uploaded files and images.
Space Upgrades are available and provide you with an additional 10, 25, 50, 100, or 200 gigabytes of storage space, and allows you to upload music and zip files in addition to images. A space upgrade also allows you to upload audio files or music.
The pricing of space upgrades is outlined below.
10GB Space Upgrade: $20.00
25GB Space Upgrade: $50.00
50GB Space Upgrade: $90.00
100GB Space Upgrade: $160.00
200GB Space Upgrade: $290.00If you require further information please refer to:

Recently I deleted my blog of several years, Universalwanderings for the following reasons.
1. There is no way to talk to you except through a forum. This really sucks!
2. You sent me a note saying you planned on putting advertising on my blog. I responded hell no! You responded that if I didn’t want adds I had to pay $30.00. Fine, never knew how a company furnished a blog free anyway. I might add this is what I pay for a Pro Flickr Account with infinite storage.
3. In about a month you told me I had reached 85% capacity on my blog and that was my limit and I would have to pay at least $20.00 for more storage. In response to this I permanently deleted approximately a third of my old posts including photographs and it made no difference in the 85%. I sought help and found no way to talk to you except on a forum. I told you what I did and got little response so in anger and frustration I deleted my blog. This is the most rinky-dink out-fit for communication I have ever seen. Please stop sending me mail. We are through!
