Why doesn't the "update" page button work on iTheme2?
-
When I am revising a page I click “update” but nothing happens. I even check the preview page but it is still the older version. The button doesn’t seem to be working at all. The only way for me to update is to go into the revisions list and choose the most recent revision. This doesn’t always work, however, and I often lose my work. I’m using iTheme2. Does this have anything to do with it? Thanks.

Hi there,
That’s certainly not the normal behavior! Could you check to make sure that you’ve got third party cookies enabled by going to this site:
Could you also make sure that your browser is updated to the most recent version or maybe try a different browser:

My browser is updated, and I’ve got third party cookies enabled. When I make a change on my page, I click “publish,” but nothing happens beyond my clicking the button. I “preview” and a new page opens up that reflects the changes that I’ve made, but when I actually go to my site it’s still the old version of the page, and when I scroll down to my revisions it reflects a much earlier date and time. It just seems like my update button isn’t working. Please advise.

Hi there,
I was wondering if there was a post which I could make a minor change to (just add a space or a period or something) and then update to see if I could replicate this issue? I would like to see if there’s something going on with your site, the theme (as you suggested), or some other unknown source.
Let me know if that would be OK!

Also, is this something which ONLY happens when you update posts, or does it happen when you are publishing new posts/pages as well?

Hi amightywp. The problem still exists. Are you still working on this? I haven’t heard from you.
-
Sorry. I noticed my permission to your making changes didn’t go through. Yes! You may work with my page to help me.

Hey there!
I’m thrilled to say that we got it sorted out for you! One of your settings got stuck and we had to disable it temporarily and then re-enable it in order to get things working again.
I did want to let you know about something that I noticed while I was digging through your blog. You have a lot of blog entries which have been set to “Sticky.” While there’s no way of knowing if this issue was caused by so many entries being set to sticky or was some random event, I can tell you that the system wasn’t meant to be used that way! A sticky post is meant to keep one or two blog entries at the top of your site for a while (or even permanently), but setting them all to sticky can cause issues.
If you’d like to play with the order of your entries, you can change the publication date. That will re-order them so that they will display in whatever order you’d like!
