Why doesn't the URL address show up in red in the new format?
-
Why doesn’t the URL address (when I have written or edited a Post) show up in red and is readily available to that website when you click it, under the new format? Now, under this new format, someone reading my Post will have to ‘cut’ and ‘paste’ the website address to their URL address box, which can be a unnecessary hassle.
Also, is there a one time fee I can pay to have my blog remain on here ‘forever’ without having to renew each year?
Thanks for your help.

In not sure what you mean by red in this case. When you publish a post, it’s viewable on your site, and the URL is in the address bar when visited, like http://merechristianthoughts.com/2014/08/19/letters-by-a-modern-mystic/

No, domains do need to be renewed annually at this time.

Hi, there….and thanks for your reply.
When using the old format I could ‘cut’ and ‘paste’ a website I was quoting from or using and put in the NEW Post I was creating. Then, when I published the new Post on my blog that website address would show up in red and the reader of the Post could click the website highlighted in red and be taken directly to that website.
With the new format, the above website mentioned will now appear in black and not be accessible with just one click, as was previously the case when it appeared in red. The reader now has to ‘cut’ and ‘paste’ the website being referred to in newly published Post into their own URL address box and not have the convenience of just clicking the website that is referred to in the post.
Thanks for your time.

Oh, ok, I think I understand what you mean. Just to be clear, could be you please give me links from your site to:
1. A post with the red title that worked as expected.
2. A post with the black title that did not.
(I’m only seeing black titles on your site at the moment.)
I suspect you were using a specific Link post type for 1, but I’d like to see examples just to be sure so I don’t send you down the wrong path.

Thanks for your prompt response and interest.
This is for my recent Post:
http://merechristianthoughts.com/2014/08/19/letters-by-a-modern-mystic/
The website I gave for http://www.amazon.com showed up in red when the Post was first created. One click on the website will take you directly to Amazon.
When I did an edit to the Post, using the new format, and added the two websites in paragraphs 12 and 13, they came out in black. As noted in paragraph 11, I had to explain to whoever was reading the Post that they would have to ‘cut’ and ‘paste’ the website addresses to their URL address box.
I appreciate your time with this.

Back again!
I actually did a ‘test’ Post where I typed in one website address manually and used the ‘cut’ and ‘paste’ method on the second website address.
When I reviewed the ‘test’ Post, they BOTH came out in red!
So, evidently, the two previously mentioned websites that came out in black was just a fluke, although I did ‘cut’ and ‘paste’ them exactly the same way I did with the “test’ Post.
Anyhow, all seems to be well, and I certainly appreciate all of your efforts with this.
All the best,
Fred -
